What is the Booking Cancellation Procedure?

Do I Need to Pay a Deposit for the Car I Rented? How Many Days Will the Provision Fee be Refunded?
Provision (Deposit) is not requested from our foreign guests whose valid passport and flight information have been received. However, credit card and authorization are requested from domestic customers who will rent a car for the first time.


Provision, after the termination of the lease; if any, toll highway bridge crossings, missing fuel, km limit limit, damage costs are calculated and the remaining amount is refunded. What Should I Pay Attention to When Making a Car Rental Contract?
The original and photocopy of your driver's license, ID and passport must be present with you when renting a car. And there must be a credit card belonging to the driver that has a limit of at least as much as the Authorization fee. What Should I Pay Attention to When Picking Up and Returning the Rented Vehicle?

What Are the Things I Need to Do When I Have an Accident?
In case of an accident, you need to contact us from the phone numbers on the rental agreement. If our guests are hit by a stationary vehicle or if our vehicle is hit by third parties while our vehicle is parked, accident, theft and alcohol detection reports should be obtained by contacting the nearest police or gendarmerie station without changing the location of the vehicle.


If at least one of the following situations exists, the vehicle should definitely not be moved and accident, theft and alcohol detection reports should be obtained by contacting the nearest police or gendarmerie station.


Driving a motor vehicle without a driver's license in case of a collision
The driver has not legally met the age requirement to be able to drive
Having mental health and doubt in the driver

If none of the above mentioned items occurred in the event of a collision, our guests are required to keep a property damage accident detection report according to the manner of occurrence of the accident and submit all documents (license, traffic insurance, driver's license copy and crime scene photos of the opposite party) to both parties involved in the accident in full. Immediately after the accident, it is required to keep an accident and alcohol report and provide information to us within 24 hours along with the relevant documents.


Under What Conditions are Insurance and Insurance Valid?
Traffic and alcohol reports should be kept immediately after the accident. If the accident is bilateral, a copy of the license belonging to the opposite party, a copy of the insurance policy and a copy of the driver's license must be taken from the opposite party at the scene of the accident and the same documents belonging to you must be given to the opposite party. We should be informed immediately after the accident.


In case the vehicle is used under the influence of any alcoholic substance or over the speed limits and the person renting the vehicle is completely defective, the person renting the vehicle is held responsible for all damages that may occur.


In case of missing or invalid documents, which are not kept in the report, the renter of the vehicle may not be injured by the insurance in any way and may not request to benefit.


In addition, in the following cases, the insurance benefit request will be deemed invalid and the resulting damages will be excluded from the insurance coverage:




The use of the vehicle by a person other than the name and names specified on the lease agreement
Using the vehicle outside normal conditions: uses that will damage the engine, driving without taking into account the road conditions and with a flat or damaged tire, incorrect refueling, etc.
Using the vehicle without complying with the traffic rules: Exceeding the speed limit, running a red light, etc. other violations, driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any substance
The load carried in the vehicle causes an accident
Careless use of the vehicle: Not using the vehicle according to precipitation and road condition, not following the vehicle in front in accordance with the safety tracking distance, etc.
Failure to notify from the contact number provided in the event of an accident, damage or theft, abandonment of the vehicle from the scene of an accident, etc. situations
Traffic and alcohol reports are not received despite the fact that no more than 48 hours have passed since the accident occurred
Failure to hand over the original key in case of theft of the vehicle
Although the lease term has expired, the vehicle should continue to be used and not delivered without any approval
Taking action for damages caused to tires, headlights or windows without notifying the relevant contact numbers


The amount of financial compensation that will consist of damages caused to third parties in accidents that occur is covered by financial liability insurance. The amounts remaining outside the guarantee are the responsibility of the vehicle renter. Izmir Car Rentals cannot be held responsible for the amounts left out of the guarantee.


What Should I Do In Case of Vehicle Malfunction?

Accordingly, due to the fact that the rented vehicle is in an unusable condition due to damage, malfunction or any other reason, another vehicle in the same segment or in a higher segment is allocated free of charge within 24 hours.


Who Pays the Traffic Fine That is Deducted on the License Plate of the Car I Rented?
Traffic fines written on the license plate of our rental vehicles are notified to us. The fines notified to us by the Ministry of Finance are collected from the credit card that our guest submitted during the rental process.


Are There HGS in the Vehicles?
There are HGS in our entire fleet of vehicles. At the end of your rental period, your HGS usage information reaches our offices and the pass fee will be charged from your credit card or authorization fee.


Is It Possible for Someone Else to Use My Rental Car?
The rental agreement is made with the person who rents the vehicle. Depending on the contract, all insurance and guarantee conditions of the vehicle contain the information of the person renting the vehicle. In the event that a person whose information is not included in the rental agreement is the party of a financially or morally damaged accident as a driver, all insurance and guarantees are deemed invalid. Both the renter of the vehicle and the person involved in the accident are held responsible for the accident.


What is October Driver Service?
October driver service in rental cars; It ensures that an additional driver to the renter of the vehicle is also a party to the contract, takes part in insurance and guarantees. October driver service is provided by the rental company.
